6/11/14 NOT EVERYBODY WHO TAKES PICTURES AT THE BEACH IS A PERVERT...THE WOMAN attacked a kid for flying a drone over the beach...calling him a pervert...apparently she was the one who was later arrested. People there are LOTS of good, honest, decent reasons to take pictures of people at the beach and everywhere else, and they are not usually perverted reasons. i myself have a beach blog which includes pictures, in general, of the beaches i visit, and sometimes there are people in the pictures besides myself...; I do it for the purposes of what is called "local color" ...which is also used to describe a form of writing that tries to "paint a vivid picture" of what one sees & experiences around him or herself. It's not that complicated and not nefarious . If you are in the public sphere you also do NOT have a legal right to be protected from being photographed, only if you are in a place where one has a reasonable expectation of privacy (ie restroom, bedroom, inside your own house, etc). However, if somebody is photographing you in the public in a manner that suggests lewd or nefarious purposes that might be another issue. Nonetheless, you still cannot physically attack a person if you suspect such motives. Perhaps you can restrain them if you think you have the right to make a "citizen arrest" but then you better be sure you are right about that person's motive being illegal. & Remember, sometimes if you are so suspicious of another person about something, you may want to first examine yourself.
